Best Scrapbook Ideas For Friends
#1 Brunch Dates
Supply List
Sunday brunch dates with best friends are possibly one of my favorite pastimes. I mean, what is better than good food and even better company? Not only is this an aesthetic scrapbook layout, it was also super easy to complete.
All you need is two things; some fun pattern paper of your choice and most importantly some pictures. There are so many fun scrapbooking papers you can choose from. Visit your local craft store in their paper crafting aisle to chose some you enjoy. I adore this abstract floral design because of how well it correlates with the murals in my photographs. It is like it was made for this layout specifically. I ended up going over a few of the lines with a gold metallic marker to make it pop.
The next thing I added to complete the look was a fun saying. Pick a quote that best captures the relationship between each other. Check out some of my other blog posts to find caption and title ideas for different occasions. The letters were cut out using my Sizzix die-cutting machine. There are so many fun fonts to choose from and you will never run out of letters unlike regular stickers.
#2 College Friends Like No Other
Supply List
College friendships are uniquely different than any other relationships from your hometown. They have seen your ups and downs, and were there for you during all those college firsts. And once you graduate it does not matter how long you all go without seeing one another, it is easy to pick back up right where you guys left off.
Creating a college scrapbook is a great idea for yourself as well as creating it as a graduation gift for your roommates. As it holds some of the best memories of those four years. I love this layout I created because it takes me right back to those fun Friday nights with friends. Not only are the embellishments trendy, but they are also perfect for a girly layout such as this.

To recreate your own version of this layout pick up the “Kate & Ash” collection ephemera pack, or choose some of your other favorite embellishments. Next, gather some brightly colored paper. I love the look of this hot pink color up against the white and black. Pick designs and colors that go with the “theme” of your photographs. Finally, play with the placement of where you want the embellishments to go. It is so fun to mix and move all the pieces together and you can add as many as you wish. The most important thing is to pick design elements that represent your special friendship. Better yet, keep any meromelia such as concert tickets, receipts, and tags to make it personalized.
#3 Drawing Ideas For A Friendship Scrapbook
Supply List
I highly recommend adding hand drawn elements to your scrapbooking layouts. This is a great idea for a best friend scrapbook page because it is so meaningful. Add a personal touch by including a handwritten note or journaling to the pages.
You do not have to be the best at drawing to design a fabulous page. Try simple doodles such as smiley faces, rain drops, snowflakes, or swirls. For this design I added raindrops and some color with my alcohol markers to make the background pop. My favorite pens for crafting are the Micron black tip pens because they are super crisp and do not bleed through underneath.
Fun pages such as this also deserve a unique photo. Instead of a traditional glossy 4×6 inch photo I opted to use a cute polaroid. Polaroids are timeless and add a unique flare. They are oftentimes smaller than regular photos so you can fit more onto one page. Polaroids also give a nice vintage look.
#4 Adding Specialized Cutfiles
Supply List
What is more fun on a Fall day than visiting a sunflower patch with your bestie? I love creating bright and colorful layouts and this one is no exception. For this layout in particular I used a Paige Taylor Evans sunflower cut file. If you have never heard of cut files they are digital designs that you cut out using a Cricut or silhouette cutting machine, and then back with patterned scrapbook paper. There are hundreds of cut files to choose from that will display any type of adventure. My top place to buy cut files is Etsy because they have such a large collection.
When coming up with scrapbook ideas for friends, list out all the hobbies and activities you all do together. Maybe your friend group met playing a sport or during an art class. In that case, I recommend incorporating that topic any way that you are able to. Cut files are an extremely cute and simple way to add specific designs of a variety of topics.
#5 For The Special Bond With Your Pet
Best friends are not just humans! You cannot forget about your furry friends when making your friendship scrapbook. Whether it is a cat, dog, rabbit, or any other animal there is no denying they are some of the most trustworthy friends.
Cinnabun and Milo are both integral members of my family. This layout is perfect because it captures their personalities very accurately. Whenever I am bored or feeling down I can always count on these two to cheer me up just by their presence. I am sure many of you can relate to this special bond with your own pets.
To recreate this page, cut out strips of your favorite patterned paper. Pro tip: scrapbook paper often has a 1/3 inch strip at the top where they put the adhesive that has fun patterns on it. I used a few of those here. I also gathered this fun pom-pom ribbon to add some flare. I stacked each strip on top of one another on the bottom half of the page. There are so many adorable pet/ animal scrapbook collections out there that are perfect for layouts such as a this.
#6 Friendship Journal Ideas
Supply List
- Instax Polaroid Printer
- Double sided adhesive
If you prefer to journal and want to keep things simple, this one is for you. A friendship journal is another great way to organize your photos. Unlike traditional scrapbooking, a notebook requires minimal cutting and is typically smaller in size. Which mean you can take it with you anywhere and has multi-purpose use! Personally, I enjoy using notebooks to stash my overflow of photos that do not quite make it into my main scrapbook.
This is one of the most easy layouts you can create. To begin, I took some blue and green paints and added different strokes in the background. I love the bright pop of color this adds. I also used my Instax mini polaroid camera to print out these memorable pictures. I love my Instax because I can print out photos instantly and they are the perfect size! I used double sided adhesive to adhere the polaroid’s down side by side. Finally, I added labels using matte sticker paper for some journaling that describe the photos.
#7 Friends Through All Seasons
Friends through thick and thin, until the very end! Real friends are there for you through each new season of your life. Summer is one of my favorite times to be outdoors together. This layout perfectly represents the happiness we share during these Summer nights. Staying up late and talking our hearts out, there is no feeling quite like this.

This is another one of my favorite layouts. To start, I took a plain piece of white cardstock and cut a sunshine shape out using my cutting machine. Then, I placed a fun patterned scrapbook paper underneath to peak out of the sunshine cutout. I ended up adding some paint splatters to bring more color to the front as well as some stickers. My favorite piece may just be the blue bird paperclip. Finally, i added this “Sweet Summer” title with these adorable sticker letters.
Regardless of if you are making a scrapbook for yourself or your friends, these ideas will be perfect for creating a special keepsake. Remember to make these layouts as personalized as possible by adding unique paper and embellishments. I guarantee you will love looking back on these pages for years to come.
