Scrapbooking the holidays is so much fun! It is such a treat being able to look back on years past and see all the family together, crazy costumes, and delightful treats. Not to mention the Halloween paper collections are just too cute to pass up. Hopefully, you can gather plenty of inspiration from this mini album Halloween.
This mini album was made using the “Spooky Nights” collection by Simple Stories. With adorable cats, haunted houses, and plenty of pumpkin designs this collection is perfect. See below each of the individual page designs that will hold all the pictures.
Wickedly Cute Mini Album Halloween
Decorated Page Inserts
Trick or treat! This scrapbook is 8×8 inches. When creating your very own mini album be sure to include enough space for photos. I recommend having different sized photo placements throughout your entire scrapbook. Some to fit a 6×4 inch photos, as well as 4×4 inches and smaller
You may prefer to create an album prior to actual Halloween, which is what I did this time. However, by crafting the album beforehand you do not exactly know what needs to go into it. Always leave empty space for extra photos and embellishments. And if you don’t end up using all the extra spaces they make for perfect journaling spots. Also, how adorable is the little ghost peeking out!

Halloween cats are an absolute favorite. I love this collections’ take on the traditional black cats you see around Halloween. You can spot multiple kitties throughout this entire scrapbook. On this page, I took this adorable candy corn pattern and used it as the background. Then, added this fun October 31st card.
Journaling cards are a great piece to add to any page. You can find plenty of journaling cards with cute designs and sayings on them. I love this witches feet one with the saying “Trick or treat, smell my feet!” I recall saying this all the time as a little kid. This page has a cute pattern for the background as well with more cats, bats, and owls.
before you begin constructing you mini album and buying supplies, choose which Halloween vibe you want to go for. Decide whether you want a frightfully scary theme or a more family friendly option. I personally prefer less spooky and more smiling pumpkins. Whichever you prefer there are tons of ways to customize a scrapbook and make it look exactly how you want it to.
A must have in all mini albums is extra pocket space. Pockets are a great place to keep additional photos and journaling pieces that could not fit on the pages. You can see here I cut out more journaling cards which also make the perfect spots to adhere photos to the back of. If you like to keep special mementos such as ticket stubs, receipts, and letters this is the perfect place to keep them safe.
Another fun surprise in any scrapbook is a flip-up elements. I love to use a basic flip-up to hide special photographs or messages. You can easily make one yourself by cutting out any sized paper and holding it in half. Then, add some cute photo cards or paper to decorate. Finally, I added these two smiling pumpkins at the bottom.
Hopefully you enjoyed this walk through of this Halloween mini album. It was so much fun and simple to make. If you want to see more scrapbooking projects be sure to check out more on my blog. For every holiday I create festive projects to document your photos.
