Fall is upon us and this Autumn mini album is perfect to document this new season. Using the ‘Hello Autumn‘ paper collection from Carta Bella Paper Company, this album is filled with all the festive colors.

Autumn mini album

See for yourself all the beautiful elements in this Autumn mini album. If you are planning on making your own fall scrapbook or October daily album, this is the perfect place to gather new page layouts.

The best part about Autumn has to be the changing of the leaves and the delicious homemade goods. This collection does an excellent job at sharing those sweet components of Fall that we look forward to every year. This album was handmade from cover to cover. If you wish to see a tutorial on how I create my mini albums you can find it here on my blog.

Delightful Autumn Mini Album

Decorating the cover is one of my favorite parts of creating mini albums. While it is the first thing people see, it is often the last thing I decorate once the inside pages are complete. One of the most notable things about the changing of seasons are the colors of the tree leaves. To make this cover vibrantly stand out, I picked out a lively pattern of red, orange, and even teal colored leaves. For the spine, this pumpkin orange complements perfectly.

On the front inside cover you will find a heart decorated with strips of all the different paper patterns. This is a great way to use up left over scraps. It is super easy to hand-cut a heart shaped piece of paper and layer each strip on top of one another. I also added a hello Fall stickers as the finishing touch.

Beautiful Fall Day

Fall mini album scrapbook

First of the inside scrapbook pages is this page titled beautiful Fall day. Using the colorful leaf pattern, I folded over the top right corner so the backside pattern also is displayed. Underneath, tiny acorns peak through. This is a great technique if you want to show off different paper patterns in a simple, yet cute way.

I left a designated space for a four by fourth inch photo. Lastly, this sticker on the bottom right evens out the layout nicely. This is the perfect spot to show off your picture of all the trees changing colors this season.

Fall mini album ideas

There is so much to look forward to during the Autumn season. Including pumpkins, hayrides, the cool air, and apple picking. When putting together this Autumn mini album I could not help but to think of all the things to look forward to.

Black buffalo plaid is a staple during Fall time. I used that in addition to this black and white calligraphy pattern listing out all of the season’s activities. Next, I added in this home sweet home tag to bring in some extra colors. This makes for an excellent page to share memories of visiting the local farm for hayrides and pumpkin picking.

Autumn Scrapbook Ideas With Pockets

Autumn scrapbook ideas

A great way to add more space into your albums is by adding pocket pages. These are not the traditional pocket pages you may see with the plastic sleeves. Instead, they are a plain pocket that can hold multiple photographs and embellishments. Not only are these great for storing pictures, but also little pieces of memorabilia such as post cards, letters, and receipts from all your outings.

To create this special page I used the homestead paper which depicts farmers, tiny cabins, fruit trees, and even a pickup truck. I love how it looks as though you are looking at a little village pan out over a valley. Finally, I added in the pocket by adhering a three inch tall cardstock, decorated with flag banners and a mason jar flower vase.

Autumn scrapbook layouts

This second pocket page correlates perfectly to the first page of this Autumn mini album. With the vibrant fall leaves, little acorns, and orange plaid coming together to bring a burst of all the Fall colors. You can never have too many pockets in your scrapbook. They just make storing items so much easier.

In this pocket I added these adorable journaling cards. The pumpkin spice and everything nice one is my favorite. Journaling cards can also be great for adhering photos to the back. This way you will have a design on both the front and the back.

Thanksgiving Layouts

Fall albums

One of the most looked forward to occasions in Fall is Thanksgiving. Nothing commemorates this delicious holiday than the smell of fresh baked pie. This mini pie pattern is one of my favorite in the entire Hello Autumn collection. Just imagine how great this will be to show off the pictures of your table display or homemade meal.

If you want to make your Autumn mini album as versatile as possible it is important to construct different design layouts for different sized photographs. Here, there is a spot for one, four by four inch photograph. Additionally, there are three, two by two inch squares that can also place photos. Or you can keep the designs as is.

Do you prefer traditional Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving? I personally will go to both as an excuse to eat double the amount of mashed potatoes. This Fall mini album page is so much fun. I absolutely love the Friendsgiving journaling card with the list of side items to bring. Plus, the floral background makes this bright and cheerful. As an extra design element, I used a border punch to cut out the scalloped border along the top. This page holds two three by three photos. Perfect for capturing your Friendsgiving group and all the side items you put together.

Fall Harvest Mini Album Pages

It is so exciting seeing all the new foods of the season coming into the farmer’s markets and stores. All the different pumpkin spice and apple cider flavors coming onto the shelves. A family tradition we share every year is going apple picking.

This layout holds one six by four and two three by three photos. The fruit basket stickers were too adorable not to use. Plus, it gives inspiration to go visit the nearest farm and pick your own food this season.

themed mini albums

A simple yet gorgeous scrapbook page layout. The background pattern gives an ombre effect going from a cheery yellow to a dark maroon. Because the background pattern is so vibrant and busy, I included minimal ephemera pieces to keep things subtle. A good rule of thumb is to not over-embellish when there is a busy or cluttered background pattern to not distract from your main photo. I simply added this “Fall is here” journaling card which is perfect since it shares all the same colors. This leaves plenty of space to add a description or even more stickers of your choice.

Pop Up Mini Album Elements

“I am so glad to live in a world where there are Octobers.” If you love the idea of having a pop up element in your album this is one of the many great scrapbook ideas for beginners. While it is simply just a card that opens up, it gives an almost surprise affect. It is great for hiding journaling pieces or photos from plain sight.

To create this pop up card here, I cut out an eight by four inch paper and folded it in half. Then, I picked out these adorable four by four inch journal cards and adhered them to the front and back of the flip up. This is as easy as it can get. While this simple technique takes no time, it allows more opportunity to use up some of the designs from the collection. Whenever I use flip-ups in my scrapbooks I love to hide special photographs within.

Scrap Paper Background

Finally, here is the last page in this Autumn mini album. After cutting and trimming paper for each layout you will end up with a ton of scrap pieces. This is a great design for using up all those extra scraps. First, I took three equal sized strips and laid them out vertically in a row. Next, I adhered down the photo placement that fits a six by four inch picture. When I make photo placements I love using patterned paper for these as well for some extra design elements.

This page is decorated with tons of cute stickers. On the top right a tiny squirrel is collecting his acorns. And nothing says Fall more than a pickup truck pulling pumpkins.

Scrapbook Mini Album Inside Cover

Both the insides of the front and back covers are excellent spaces for adding any extra designs or pockets. On the back inside cover I created this fun pocket using the buffalo plaid pattern. Here, you can fit more photos, journaling cards, or letters. It is the perfect addition for the completion of this scrapbook album.
