Our pets are often considered a part of the family. Therefore, it makes sense that they get a dedicated scrapbooking page just for them. Animals bring such joy into our lives and it is important that we capture these joyous moments spent with them. While it is true that our pets will not be around forever, we can keep their memories alive with scrapbooking. The pages below share some of my own personal pets in hopes to inspire others.
My Animal Scrapbook Inspiration
1. Pet Animals Scrapbook
Supplies:
The first thing you will need to do is gather your favorite photos of your pets. Start by planning out which memories you want to scrapbook. Some ideas are adoption day, car rides, cuddles, and fun adventures you take with your furry friends. Animals are always photogenic, so next time you catch your pet doing something utterly adorable make sure to snap a picture.
2. Dog Scrapbook Pages
Supplies:
You are either a dog person or a cat person. If you prefer dogs then this layout will be the perfect inspiration. There are so many adorable dog themed paper and stickers on the market. You can even find supplies for a specific dog breed. Including embellishments that look similar to your own pooch can add special details to your dog scrapbook.
Many dogs enjoy car rides and trips to the park. These moments are perfect to capture for your layouts. Next time your dog sticks it head out of the car window or is headed to play at the dog park be sure to snap a photo.
3. Cat Scrapbook Ideas
Supplies:
If you are more of a cat person then this layout will peak your interest. Cats are some of the most loving and sassy creatures. Especially when they are kittens you will want to scrapbook all their kitten behavior. An example of kitten behavior I was able to capture was playing in a water dish. When they are not playing they are probably napping; Or taking a cat-nap if you will. Since they won’t be this tiny forever you must make sure to capture all stages of growing up.
To create this animal scrapbook layout I used a heart paper punch. Paper punches are an excellent tool to elevate any layout page. Shapes such as hearts can be arranged in a variety of designs to create a fun background. Think outside of the box on ways you can use your paper punches. This is such a simple and easy idea that takes less than 30 minutes.

4. Bunny Scrapbook – Woodland Animal
Supplies:
If you are neither a dog nor a cat person, perhaps you are a rabbit person? Bringing home my pet bunny is one day I will never forget. Adoption day is such a monumental moment that is a must to scrapbook! I brought my bunny, Cinnabun, home in a box and instantly fell in love. Now, she is much older but I enjoy looking back at all of her baby pictures.
Similar to the cat layout above, I used the heart paper punch to create a border along the top and bottom. This is another super simple layout if you do not have much time or supplies. Also, using polaroid photos is a fun addition. I used bunny themed embellishments around the page along with heart enamel stickers.
5. Zoo Animals Scrapbook
Supplies:
It is always a fun day hanging out at the zoo. I love visiting our local zoo to see all the different animals and their respective habitats. Creating a zoo animal scrapbook is a fun activity for kids too. Plan a day trip to the zoo or aquarium, and after have the kids create scrapbook layouts of everything they saw. This could be a great learning opportunity.
In order to make this layout, I used a variety of zoo animal scrapbook stickers. I love all the vibrant animal patterns and colors. Using fun animal print patterns, I created borders along each photo. Animal prints are so beautiful and will capture anyone’s attention as they flip through your scrapbook album. For the background leaves, I found washi stickers that resemble jungle leaves.
6. Wild Animal Safari Scrapbook Page
Supplies:
Here is a second animal safari scrapbook layout. I love mixing and matching different animal prints together. There are countless beautiful details on this page. Although, it all comes together cohesively. Layering stickers is a great way to add some dimension onto your pages. Also, playing around with paints to create a mixed media layout is a fun idea to try. Pops of color paints are great for adding detail into small spaces, and will add even more color to the page.
7. Childhood Dog Memorial Scrapbook
Supplies:
There is no love quite like the love you have for your first childhood pet. For me, I grew up with a beagle that was with me from preschool all the way to college. While dogs may not be with us forever, their memories will be kept alive through our photos. If you are planning on making a scrapbook for animals be sure to include your childhood pets in there.
Through scrapbooking, you too can tell the story of your childhood dog. It is sentimental flipping through old photos and seeing their precious faces again. Yet, layouts like this one I will cherish forever and can share with others. I can remember all the times we played together and am taken back to that special era each time I see this picture.
To create this layout I cut out equal sized squares and alternately placed them along the background. Using two different patterns make for such a fun background design. Also, adding a cute title that describes the relationship you have with your pets can help tell your story.
8. Farm Animals Scrapbooking Layout
Currently, the closest thing I have to seeing farm animals is visiting our state fairgrounds. My favorite part about any fair is visiting all the goats and horses. I wanted to include this layout on this list to share some farm animal page inspiration. Also, how you can include animal pictures within your seasonal albums. This is part of my Summer scrapbook, but it makes me so happy seeing all the animals included.
9. Animal Kingdom Scrapbook Ideas
Supplies:
Wild animals are incredibly fascinating and majestic. Thousands of species are part of the animal kingdom and it is such a blessing whenever you can see one up close. During our safari tour we came face-to-face with some interesting creatures.
To create this page, I took a few of the images and cut them down into miniature squares. Making sure they were able to fit into rows of two. I alternated various patterns of paper to bring in more color as well. Next, I took my two main photographs and kept them the regular 4×6 inch size. I love how organized and symmetrical the left side appears. All while displaying all my favorite photos from this adventure.
10. Pet Snuggles
Supplies:
One of the best things about owning a pet is arguably all the cuddles you will receive. If your pets are anything like mine, they love to sleep on you and follow you around wherever you go. Puppy cuddles are an instant mood booster. Especially during those cold winter days.
To assemble this layout I used a snowflake paper punch. Using different shades of blue and purple, I alternated the strips of paper and punched mini snowflakes on each one. I love this technique for a fun and easy idea. Furthermore, I added sparkly sequins that mimic snow.
11. Animals Scrapbook Activity
Supplies:
On the topic of cuddles and snow, here is an animal scrapbook idea for Winter! Animals playing in the snow is quiet possibly one of the cutest things you will see today. You have probably seen dogs enjoying snow, but have you ever seen a rabbit? Surprisingly, my bunny loves hopping around in the snow – as long as it is not too cold! It is always a blast seeing them have fun outside.
Just like the layout above, I used the snowflake paper punch as part of the title. I also found cute animal scrapbook paper for the background, along with this adorable ‘beary cozy’ journal card. If you need more ideas on what to scrapbook, get pictures of your pets during each different season. There are countless activities to do together each season and it is fun getting outside.
12. Ocean Animals Dolphin Scrapbook
I do not live near the beach so anytime I find myself near the ocean I always look out for dolphins. Dolphins are such magnificent creatures and I love learning about them. So different from all the other land animals we see everyday. This layout is part of my Florida animal mini album. I took so many photos of the beach and the ocean animals.
