1. Cow Girl Valentines Cards Ideas
Supplies:
Adorable cow print card with easy to customize color scheme.
This card is perfect for your son or daughter, classmate, or even close friend. The message is funny but endearing which leaves your options open. The colors are easy to change up if you want to.
I chose to add flower stickers and pink accents for a girly theme. You could swap out the pink accents for a dark maroon and a few heart stickers if you were looking to give this to the man in your life. I used pops of color paint to add in some dimension.
Overall, this card could fit multiple people in your life and will absolutely bring a smile to their face.
2. Greeting Cards Strawberry Valentine
Supplies:
This “berry-CUTE” card showcases a classic play on words with fun touches!
Layering cardstock allowed me to create a yellow scalloped border around this plaid background. The yellow goes with the seeds for the strawberries and brings another color into the otherwise basic Valentine’s Day classics.
This card would also be great for a younger person in your life, or maybe your mom and/or grandma! By using a die cutting machine I was able to make the strawberries, their tops, and the leaves. You can use pre-made stickers for the written message. Or cut out white paper and hand write “I love you BERRY much”.
This handmade Valentine’s Day card is sure to bring a BERRY big smile to your loved ones face.
3. Ideas For Handmade Valentines Day Cards For Boyfriend
Supplies:
- Alcohol markers (affordable and effective!)
If you’ve seen the movie the Notebook, you would probably agree that this is a card Noah would send to Allie. When he wrote her everyday for a year. Haha
For this card, I chose to go with a muted color palette, and stamp on a love message. If you are looking for a time efficient design, this card is great for that, and beginners!
This is one of my favorite ideas for handmade Valentines Day cards that would suit your best friend or significant other. The perfect card to be peaking out of a gift bag.
Include a love letter inside this card that will stand the test of time.
4. Cupcake Valentines Card Designs
Supplies:
- Valentine Cupcake design stamps
- Arched dies (Great for backgrounds!)
- Watercolor paint
Nothing says “I Love You” better than cupcakes and pups!
Using die cuts, I was able to create the arches as the backdrop. I then used clear stamps to make the cupcake designs. Using alcohol markers, I added some color to each. However, colored pencil or even watercolor paint would also be great options.
If you have a cupcake lover in your life, consider mailing them one of these Valentine’s Day cards!
If your dog is the love in your life this year, I won’t judge.
5. Simple V-day Card With Hearts
Supplies:
Great ideas for handmade Valentines day cards for animal lovers in your life!
Does anything beat sharing a warm cup of hot chocolate on Valentine’s Day with your loved one? This bear and hedgehog duo sure don’t think so.
By cutting out heart shapes on pink cardstock paper, I was able to create these “windows” of love for each animal.
I used black ink to stamp on the steam effect for each animal. You could write out the “hug in a mug” message by hand or stamp it. I recommend measuring out where you will stamp your designs before cutting out the hearts.
Send a long distance hug to your BFF with this simple Valentine’s Day card.
6. Handmade Watercolor Valentine’s Day Cards
Supplies:
The coffee fanatic in your life will be sure to appreciate this unique V-day card.
Bright, cheery colors bring this card to life. With a Parisian touch to it, this card would be great for a traveler in your life as well.
I used a multicolor cardstock, and then white cardstock overlaid, to create the colorful border. Taking watercolor paint, I used the same color scheme to paint the shirt and hearts.
The cute pun adds a little funny note. But also gives the recipient an endearing, heartfelt message of love.
Take that special someone in your life to their favorite coffee shop and surprise them with this cute card.
