My December daily mini album is approximately eight by nine inches. I find this is the perfect size to fit one or two pictures while having enough room to decorate with embellishments. This year, I kept things more minimal and I only left room for one photo per page. This allows more focus for the main story of the day, instead of getting distracted by the mundane details.

In areas where the photo will go, I did not glue down any of the ephemera pieces that overlap that space. Once the photo is placed, I will then go back and re-glue everything. This is important to consider when making the foundation pages.

This layout was inspired by those tiny Christmas villages. I love the little log cabins you can find within this collection. To begin, I cut out a snowy hill and stitched the outline. Then, I adhered it to the page and made sure not to tape directly over the space left for a picture. Essentially, it created a pocket that can hold more photo and keepsakes.

Snowy winter scenes make my heart melt! One thing I always look forward to in December are snow days. I wanted to create a scrapbook layout that will help tell the story of our cold weather. To make this layout I added snowflake paper as the backdrop and the cut out snowy hills with white cardstock. Then, just as before I stitched around the white to give some extra detail. Lastly, I added the trees and a cute little squirrel for the finishing touches. This truly makes you feel as though you are walking through a Winter wonderland scene.

One of my favorite pages in this album! The Christmas Cottage collection had so many adorable sweaters and outdoor gear pieces that I wanted to incorporate. I was inspired by the clothes lines people put up in the Summertime and figured it could be done for Winter too. The cute snowman wearing the clothes in the background make this even more fitting,

To create this layout, I cut a piece of string, tied knots on both ends, and glued it down onto the page. Next, I took mini clothes pins and pinned the socks and sweaters to the string, no extra gluing required!

The most wonderful time of the year! When planning your December daily foundation pages, think about which parts of the months are your favorite. Some of my favorites include Christmas shopping and wrapping gifts. Whatever your favorite activity is make sure there is a layout to accommodate. Planning out what you expect to do and take pictures of will make your December daily go much smoother. I adore this paper with all the different presents on it. I also added this cute little bear wearing a scarf and this fun activities note.

It is not Christmas without Santa. I was able to be really creative with this one. I adore the traditional red used in the collection and knew this patterned paper was perfect for a Santa suit. Using the Merry and Joy pattern as the background, I cut out a black strip of paper for Santa’s belt. Then, with a three by three inch square I used that as the belt bucket which also acts as the perfect space for a photo.

This layout was super simple to construct and did not use any embellishments. Perfect to store Christmas morning memories; waking up early and heading downstairs to find all the presents that Santa has left under the tree.

A special time spent with family during the holiday season is definitely picking out and decorating the Christmas tree. One of my favorite embellishment pieces in this collection is the little red truck. I solely created this layout around the red truck and am obsessed with how this page turned out.

Using the pine tree pattern paper as the background gave this a very festive look. Next, I took the candy candy pattern paper and added that to the photo border, as well as added the tag in the top left corner. I love how the red from the tag complements the red truck and stands out against the background. Finally, I know the importance of journaling so I added a small journal card to the bottom right corner.

It was not until after I finished this layout that I realized the stickers were actually holly and not mistletoe. Nonetheless, you cannot go wrong with either and there is nothing wrong with pretending. Plus, I love the mistletoe tradition.

Unlike many of the colorful patterns in this collection, this paper is subtle with only hues of green. Lots of rustic leaves and holly berries. I love creating with monochromatic color schemes in my scrapbook pages whenever I can. I used these gorgeous gold letters for the title that really pop against the green background.

There are certain Christmas traditions that I look forward too each year. One of those being putting up Christmas stockings. Everyone in our family has their own unique stocking that we place above the fireplace. Part of why it is so special is because I have had my stocking since I was a little girl. It is neat having a piece that can be used year after year.

The bright red poinsettias are striking against this background. With busy patterns such as this one, there is not much need for many embellishments across the page. The stocking stickers hang perfectly above the photo placement spot, just how they would above a fire. This is a super simple and festive layout that took less than 15 minutes.

There is something about woodland creatures cozied up with fuzzy sweaters that just make my heart melt. These creatures are only one of my favorite parts about this collection. For this layout specifically, this friendly bear is the main character.

To begin I took the dark teal “brrr” pattern and laid that down as the background. Additionally, one of my favorite techniques in scrapbooking is to use cut files. You can essentially find any pattern of cut file you can think of online. For this page I used this fun snowflake circle. I cut that out onto white cardstock, and in order to make it stand out I dabbed black ink behind it. Next, I added the cute bear along with a present at the bottom left. It does not get much cuter than this!

When I was a kid one of my favorite winter activities was building snowmen. Luckily, I lived in a place that got a lot of snow during the winter. All the neighborhood kids would go out together and try to build the biggest snowman. Once finished we would add arms and some facial features. It was such a fun time and something I love to see kids doing today.

An awesome part of this collection are these festive chipboard frames. This one specifically is one of my favorite and who doesn’t love a good pun? Again, if you are looking for super quick and easy layouts to make for your mini album this is a great idea! Take any pattern paper for the background and simply place a decorated frame on top. I went a little extra and added these golden snowflakes, popped up with some foam adhesive to bring in a 3D effect. I love how simple and clean with layout is, perfect for those outdoor, snowy photos.

If your family is one who loves outdoor adventures, this one is for you. This collection has the most adorable winter sports ephemera pieces, including skiing, ice skating, and sledding. I may not be the most athletic, however I do enjoy watching these winter sports.

In order to create this special page I included as many pink elements as possible. My favorite piece may just be the tiny vintage set of skis. I used two different pattern papers for the background that share the same hints of pink. Almost creating a winter scene that is a pink starry night. I used a patterned edge punch for some fun details, as well as added in a few pink poinsettias.

Winter is the one time of the year where I would do anything to stay inside and hibernate all season long. As much as I love watching the snow fall, there is no better place to watch than indoors; With a cup of hot chocolate and a warm blanket. This page has all the winter favorites including tea, gifts, and sewing yarn.

I love using tags as scrapbook embellishments. They have a lot of versatility with all you can add to them. In this instance, I included a bunch of cute stickers to bring in some extra designs. Additionally, I added this winter wonderland as the title, as well as the mini snow globe to the bottom.

Finally, the last page in my December Daily album. For me, the month leading up to Christmas is a time to be present and spend with family. I wanted these layouts to reflect these memories as well as show off my creativity. In order to do so, I kept things simple and utilized many of the existing elements from this collection.

As I shared earlier, tags are a great way to add in different designs and versatility. Here, I cut out six different tags and laid them side by side. Some tags have a cute design on them, while others are great for journaling space which you can never have enough of. This is a great page for writing down favorite memories and sharing smaller photos. To complete the look, I added some stitching around the edges to make it feel more handmade.
