For Fall scrapbook layouts, find ways to incorporate nature elements specific to the season. Use the warm color schemes found in the leaves, along with acorn accents or even dried flowers to add a touch of natural beauty. Experiment with different textures and materials like burlap, twine, or autumn-themed patterned papers to evoke the cozy and rustic feel of Fall.

Each of the layouts below captures the joy of autumnal activities, including apple picking, pumpkin decorating, the excitement of jumping into a pile of leaves, or the warm moments spent around a bonfire. There is nothing like spending the chilly afternoon with some tea and fresh-baked pumpkin bread while you scrapbook away. Gather inspiration so you may begin to document your fondest memories of Fall time.

Cozy Fall Scrapbook Layouts

1. Beauti-Fall Themed Mixed Media Scrapbook

Supplies:

Mixed media is a scrapbooking technique that involves using various materials to create dynamic backgrounds. Some common materials used in mixed media layouts include paint, wood, stencils, ribbon, embossing, and paste. Using different materials is great for fall scrapbook layouts because it allows for more colors and dimension, similar to what you find in nature.

On this layout, I used a combination of watercolor paint, glitter, die-cuts, and sequins. Using paints are an excellent way to add in colors of Fall. Where I live, trees do not start to change color until the end of October. Find color-schemes based off of where you are located and incorporate those onto your page layouts. You can also create stunning titles with alphabet die-cuts like the one shown above. Titles play a main part in your scrapbook layout as they can bring in more color and pattern.

2. Fall Plaid Scrapbook Paper – Apple Picking

Supplies:

Apple picking is a must-do this Autumn season. It is so much fun visiting the apple orchards with friends and picking your own apples. After, you can make delicious pies and fruit dishes with the apples you collect.

This layout was made using supplies from the “Harvest Market” collection by simple stories. Fall plaid scrapbook paper is a signature pattern for Fall time. Although, this time it has a nice twist by using brighter hues of pinks and yellows. In addition to plaid paper, I incorporated fun Autumn-themed ephemera pieces. Chipboard frames like the one displayed above are also cute to add around pictures.

3. Sunflower Fields Scrapbook Ideas

Supplies:

Sunflowers are bright and beautiful making them one of my favorite parts about Fall. If you are lucky enough to live near a sunflower field, make sure you visit it at least once during the season. These fields make for the perfect photography backdrop.

For this page, I took a sunflower cut-file and backed it with yellow and brown paper. You can purchase similar cut files off of Etsy. Washi tape is another great material to use on your Fall scrapbook layouts. Create gorgeous borders and tags with washi tape.

4. Fall Wedding Guest Album

Supplies:

Autumn is also a popular season for couples to get married. If your calendar is marked with a bunch of wedding dates throughout the season, then hopefully this layout will provide you with plenty of inspiration. Many weddings between September through November are decorated with deep, rustic florals and moody undertones. I wanted my scrapbooking page to reflect the theme of this particular venue. By incorporating fake foliage and different shades of maroon, this Fall scrapbook layout turned out spectacular.

A tip for creating a wedding album is to match the colors used in the decorations. This will give all your pages a cohesive look alongside the photographs. Using flowers and foliage will also give your layouts an elegant look. You may even be able to find identical floral embellishments as the ones used in the bouquet or table décor.

5. Pumpkin Patch Scrapbook Idea

Supplies:

It is likely that visiting a pumpkin patch or carving pumpkins is on your Fall bucket list. This is an excellent activity to do with your family. Next time you are picking out pumpkins make sure to take lots of pictures for your Autumn scrapbook. Not only is it fun walking through the pumpkin patch, but also visiting the farm store and taking any hayrides.

Thankfully, there are tons of cute pumpkin patterned papers to craft with. Using the Harvest Market collection from Simple Stories I added fun mini pumpkins and fall foliage paper. I also included pops of teal to bring in some extra color. Layering different patterns is a great way to create new backgrounds. Also, adding borders around your photos will help make them stand out against the bright patterns.

6. Halloween Scrapbook Ideas

If you are putting together a Fall scrapbook album, you must include a few Halloween layouts. As the quintessential fall holiday, Halloween offers a multitude of creative possibilities. From spooky costumes and jack-o’-lanterns to haunted houses and trick-or-treating adventures, there are endless opportunities to capture the spirit of Halloween in your album.

Consider incorporating fun elements like candy wrappers, costume accessories, or even dried leaves to add texture and interest to your Halloween layouts. Don’t be afraid to play with bold colors and whimsical embellishments to create a magical effect.

7. Fall Festivals Photo Album

If you are looking for even more ways to use your pumpkin scrapbook paper then consider these 3D pumpkins! I just love the way these 3D pumpkins turned out as they add so much dimension onto this page. Plus, making them is actually easier than it looks.

To begin, you will cut three different sized ovals out of your desired cardstock. You can use the same pattern for this part, or alternate hues to create an ombre effect. Next, place them on top of one another starting with the largest on bottom. Then, you will need to tie a piece of string along the middle to hold them in place. Once the paper is tied securely you can start to see the pumpkin shape take place. Do not forget to separate the papers so they do not lay flat and can achieve the 3D look. Finally, add brown stems to leaves to the pumpkins to make them look even more realistic.

8. College Football Scrapbook Page

September marks the beginning of the Fall football season. Whether you watch from the stands or your living room TV, this is a great way to show off your team spirit. There are lots of football ephemera pieces you can add to sports layouts. My favorite sticker is the team’s mascot from my college. Having team-specific stickers makes the layout more personalized. If you are scrapbooking a single game, then I recommend adding in the details such as the opposing team name, score, and any highlights.

9. Autumn Scrapbook Page Ideas

Supplies:

The changing of leaves are obviously a major sign that fall has officially arrived. With the beautiful ambient colors of Autumn leaves it makes sense you would want to incorporate them onto all of your Fall scrapbook layouts. An easy way to add in more fall leaves is to cut them straight out of patterned paper. First, you will want to find the right paper that has various leaf shapes and vibrant colors. Next, you will want to grab your most precise scissors so that it will be easy cutting around intricate details.

You can add Fall leaves throughout your entire background or simply cluster them together in certain areas on the page. In the layout above, I layered them along the top and bottom border. This way, it almost looks like a leaf pile you would build as a kid. This leaves plenty of room for pictures and other ephemera pieces.

10. Fall Thanksgiving Scrapbook Paper

Supplies:

Thanksgiving is another significant holiday that comes in the fall. It is a time spent with your closest friends and family, and it is for giving thanks for all you have. On holidays spent with family, I love capturing “off-guard” photos of the little moments spent together. I seek to capture the genuine smiles, laughter, and even the quiet moments of reflection.

For Thanksgiving scrapbook layouts, document the things you are most grateful for. These can be expressed in your photos or a gratitude list. Creating a purposeful scrapbook will not only boost your mood but also help you recognize the most import people/ things in your life.
