Cute Valentine’s Day Scrapbook Ideas
1. Conversation Hearts
Supplies:
Conversation heart candies are a staple during the Valentine’s day holiday. Even if you do not particularly enjoy the taste of these candies, you have to admit they are adorable! It can be so fun reading all the little sayings. I wanted to include these mini conversation hearts on a scrapbooking layout.
First, I found a conversation heart cut file on Etsy that looks exactly like the real thing. Next, I picked out pastel colored paper and cut out the shapes with my Cricut cutting machine. Having a circut makes it super easy to cut out shapes and then back them with paper. However, if you do not own a cutting machine you can still recreate these hearts by simply cutting out simple heart shapes and outlining the edges with a darker color. Finally, I used colored markers to write the cute sayings.
If you want your photos to stand out on the page, try cutting the subject out and removing the background. This is a new technique I wanted to try and the after effect is super cool. Once I took out the background I placed hot pink paper around the edges to make it stand out. This is such a sweet Valentine’s day layout that says everything you ever wanted to about your significant other.
2. Valentines Day Story Ideas
Supplies:
If you are trying to come up with Valentine’s day scrapbook ideas try to think about the love stories between your parents or grandparents. No matter how many times I hear about my parents wedding day or how my grandparents met, it never gets old. I could listen to their stories every day. That may be why I love scrapbooking so much since I love hearing about my family’s stories.
My grandparents first met in a hayride at a fair and then married soon after at 18 years old. It was recently that they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. I love this page layout so much because it captures my grandparents in a creative way. I made this flower bouquet with flower ephemera pieces and then folded over the paper wrapping. Then, I added a few dots from the pops of color paint for some additional detail.
It is an excellent idea to create a family photo album that shares all of your family’s love stories. This way, these stories will never be forgotten and get it passed down to future generations. Plus, it is fun to learn about family history.
3. Handmade Scrapbook For Boyfriend
Supplies:
Heart balloons in real life are such a unique décor item that I love to see in the stores each year. I wanted to find a way to replicate those balloons on paper and ended up with this layout. These heart shaped balloons are such a statement piece, and are extremely easy to recreate. Simply cut out medium sized hearts out of colored paper. It helps if you hold the paper in half and cut on the fold – this way when you open it up both sides are equal cuts. Next, taking a white paint marker make tiny lines or dots where light hits. This gives the balloons a more animated look just like how they would be in real life.
This layout was made to capture a Valentine’s day date a few years back. Each year it is fun to document our holiday dates and be able to look back on what we did the year prior. It is also fun to get dressed up and take pictures. (The bathroom was the only well-lit location at the time. LOL.) Another fantastic piece from this page is the kraft envelope holding the journaling card. Any way to include writing spaces on your layout is a bonus. If you are gifting a scrapbook to a partner this is an excellent spot to write something sweet.

4. Love Scrapbook Ideas
If you are searching for a way to document your Valentine’s Day festivities then this is an awesome layout to try for yourself. This page is found in my memory planner but can easily be recreated in a traditional 12×12 scrapbook album or notebook. One Valentine’s day I ended up capturing photographs of everything I did. Which included receiving flowers and chocolates, encountering lovely wall murals and then ending day with a free churro dessert from the best Mexican restaurant. It was such a great day. I am forever thankful to get to look back at all the small details from that Valentine’s Day.
If you keep a personal planner then I encourage you to share this upcoming holiday in it. The clean, well aligned page design keeps all of the photos organized. Making this takes minimal effort and only requires a few photographs plus paper. I ended up including journaling cards on my page because I love the festive designs of the heart balloons and XOXO’s. Cut each picture/ paper all the same size and arrange them in rows then columns to line them up. Lastly, you can add fun stickers for extra design elements.
5. Valentine’s Scrapbook Ideas With Dogs
Supplies:
If you do not have a special date this Valentine’s Day look no further than your dog. All jokes aside, dogs are family and the love we have for our pets is unmatched. Dogs are the best cuddlers and know exactly how to brighten any day. Take time this Valentines Day to do something special for your pup. Perhaps make them a delicious dinner and end the day with belly rubs.
This layout includes brightly patterned scrapbook paper of various designs. If you have trouble deciding which paper packs of yours to use, try recreating this layout. It allows you to play around with various patterns and colors. In the end you still get a cohesive look. I chose this gorgeous XOXO pink and red paper and backed it with black doily lines. I also had this white and pink hearts paper in my scraps for the background. Furthermore, I outlined two edges with this bright red color that ties in nicely with the middle. I love colorful layouts such as this one because of all the fine detailing that goes on the page.
6. Couples Scrapbook Layouts
Last V-Day my boyfriend and I made homemade chocolate strawberries. Chocolate strawberries are one of my favorite desserts. This activity was so fun and tasty. This is another layout I made in my memory planner to document my Valentine’s Day festivities. The adorable chocolate box candy stickers made this food layout even better.
Valentine’s Day stickers are some of my favorite supply items to use on these layouts. Each year, brands come out with the cutest Valentines collections. It is something I look forward to every February. Stickers are extremely easy to decorate with since no cutting or gluing is required. I attempted to replicate a chocolate candy box from a heart shape and decorated the inside with chocolate stickers. Also, for a title I include this “Love” banner that is too adorable.
Hopefully, you were able to find great Valentine’s Day Scrapbooking projects to try for yourself. Any of the above layouts are super easy to recreate for beginners. They can be customized to be unique to you and your loved ones. There is truly no better way to spread the love this Valentines day.
