Un-Cringey Best Friend Poses For The Best Photoshoot EVER
After years of struggling with unflattering angles, I finally put together a collection of best friend poses that work for every photoshoot.

Today, I am sharing my go-to best friend poses for 2 that look so natural and cute! My friends and I love having spontaneous photoshoots where we go. And now that we have these pose ideas in our back pocket our pictures come out way better. Especially if you are a photographer yourself, these might bring you some new inspiration!
I should mention that many of these poses require hands-free picture taking. I typically will use a tripod with a timer or a remote button. Although, you can also recruit another set of hands to assist in the picture taking.
What Are The Most Flattering Best Friend Poses For Photography?
As you look for new poses to try, it’s important to consider which angles or sides look best for your features. For example, some people find that they photograph better on their right side versus their left.
The great thing is that these poses are adaptable to any person and can be changed to be more flattering for each individual.
1. BFF Pictures Ideas With Mirror Selfie

If you have a mirror around, it’s a great way to try out different angles without looking directly at the camera.
First, you’ll need a full length mirror that you can sit in front of. Grab your bestie and both sit with one leg bent over the other. Each of you can “mirror” the other and put both of your heads together.
I recommend using a tripod for this one and setting it off to the side where it isn’t visible in the photo.
2. BFF Poses Sitting Down

This simple, yet playful pose idea is perfect if you have a hammock or swing in your background.
Both sitting on the hammock with legs outstretched while smiling and laughing. This would even make for a fabulous outdoor photoshoot.
3. Selfie Poses For Friends

I’m always looking for fun and unique places to take photos at that are free to use. I 100% recommend checking out your local park where they have beautiful gardens to walk through.
This pose works best with long stemmed flowers such as tulips or daffodils. If you are taking pictures with an iphone, set the camera to .5 setting so you get more of the background in it. Set the camera to the ground and stand over it to take the cutest selfie ever!
4. Flattering Best Friends Poses For Pictures

One of the classic best friend poses that works for any photoshoot. This one is great if you just want a simple and easy position to recreate.
Standing against a blank backdrop, you and your bestie will stand with your backs together holding one hand. It looks best if you slightly turn your bodies toward the camera, while bending one leg just a little.
I love this pose for taking more formal photos as it can be used on cards, brand photos, or just a nice looking pic.

5. Poses For Friends Duo Looking Up

For instances when you want to capture something above your heads, this is a great upward pose for best friends.
In order to completely capture the umbrellas above our heads, we set the camera low to the ground while slightly tilting it upward. This works much better than taking the picture straight on.
I recommend positioning your bodies while standing on one foot and leaning into each other. You could also pretend to walk or swirl around for a more off-guard look.
6. Best Friend Poses Height Difference

A cool, relaxed pose for two best friends that is extra flattering.
Knowing which angles and sides are most flattering for you is a good thing to know. Once you have that understanding, you can adjust the pose to work best with your features.
This is another mirror pic, but instead of sitting down you will stay standing. Try bending your leg, putting hands in pockets, or relaxed at your sides. Like I mentioned before, there are tons of variations you can try depending on how you want to look.
This post is all about finding the most flattering best friend poses for photography.
