Old Fashioned Chicken Pot Pie Recipe

Homemade chicken pot pie made with cream of chicken soup. With extra flaky crust and delicious filing.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Pie Crusts
  • 2-3 Cooked chicken breasts
  • 1/2 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cans Cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups Mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • 9" pie pan

Method
 

  1. Line your 9" pie pan with one crust, set second crust aside for later.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the vegetables, cooked chicken, chopped onion, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream. Stir to incorporate. Once the filing is mixed thoroughly, pour into the pie dish.
  3. Top with the remaining crust, and crimp the edges to seal the two crusts together.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until the crust is lightly browned.
